Deferred action approvals are at or above 200,000; many dreamers have not applied

The latest statistics report on deferred action, as of the middle of February, shows just over 199,000 approved applicants in the deferred action program.  The records however show only 423,000 applications submitted; which means there are more eligible applicants that have not applied, than have applied.  The report is included below, but the important point is that many individuals in this country are eligible; and just haven’t applied for this benefit.  Since the election ended, these applications are moving through the USCIS system much faster, and are providing immediate benefits to those who are approved.
